Our Story
Native Speakers Now may be new but the story began in 2007 when our founder, Joe De Sorte, spent 3 months in Rosario, Argentina as an exchange student studying Spanish. Joe arrived to Argentina with a very basic level of Spanish despite studying Spanish for 4 years in high school. During his 3 months, Joe lived with a family and spoke Spanish every day. He learned more in those 3 months than he did in the previous 4 years thanks to incredible teachers and a caring family.
Upon arriving home back in New Jersey, Joe realized all of the sudden, he was no longer immersed in Spanish and he didn't have friends or family to practice with. So, he turned to online language exchanges to speak with native Spanish speakers from around the world. Some are still friends to this day over 15 years later and just like in Rosario, he saw his Spanish dramatically improve.
On a recent trip back to Argentina in 2025, Joe met many people studying English, however, he noticed that very few were learning English from a native speaker and in fact, often times they were a bit shy to speak with him being a native speaker. In that moment a light bulb went off and Native Speakers Now was born.
Native Speakers Now has one primary goal: To help anyone learning a language connect with native speakers of their target language and take the next step. The purpose isn't just to improve language skills, but it will also to remove the fear of speaking with a native speaker and speak with confidence.

Native Speakers Now offers English language learners the opportunity to speak directly with native English speakers. This is a great option for those who are learning English but do not have easy access to native speakers. We offer video calls either one on one with the native speaker, or for a class room settings as well.
Please use the booking options listed here on the site where you can book a specific day/ and time and well as pay for the service. If you are having difficulties booking a spot please send a message to Support@NativeSpeakersNow.com and we will be happy to help
It's important to note, Native Speakers Now, is specifically for conversation. We will not replace teachers but instead, we will compliment the lessons you are already taking. This service is also great for people who may already speak English but want to keep their skills sharp.
All members of the Native Speakers Now team are interviewed and vetted prior to being able to offer services to ensure native speaking abilities.
We can work with any level. It's never too early for students to come in contact with native speakers. Our team will adjust the level of English to your needs.
Right now, we are only offering virtual sessions unless otherwise agreed upon. However, stay tuned to know when in person sessions are available.
